We meet together because we enjoy poetry. Some of us have a wide knowledge of the subject and some of us do not and we enjoy learning from each other. We plan the programme together for a year ahead. Some sessions are planned and led by a group member - for instance a member recently talked to us about W. B.Yeats illustrated by a selection of his poems.

Other sessions are on a theme and we all choose poems to bring along to read aloud. Recent themes have included ‘Love and Romance’, and ‘20th century American Poets’. Membership of the group is limited by space at our venue but we do have room for a couple of new members. Contact Sharon Hancock
